NEWS FLASH - UPDATE ON DELAYS WITH RATES CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES

Further to our news flash dated the 21st July 2009 we are happy to report that eThekwini Municipality have filed a blanket rates clearance certificate at the Pietermaritzburg Deeds Office which effectively deals with the problem in respect of Real rights and Exclusive use areas.

 

It is estimated that separate Rates Clearance Certificates will be available from January 2010 but until then the blanket rates certificate referred to above will stand.

 

In respect of other local authorities we would imagine that they will file their blanket Rates Clearance Certificates in due course.
